I forgot to write yesterday, because I was not home until late at night. I was actually on a comedy show in the evening, in West Hollywood which was very nice and funny. I laughed a lot :) I really need to go to more comedy shows in my life. Seeing Louis CK could be so cool, he's probably my favorite one here in the states (even though I've only seen him on Youtube).

Anyway, yesterday was really nice and now I'm at school and writing (break time). I really like our class, every one is welcomed and our teacher is great. I've learned so much about the world, educative lessions!

First one

First week passed away so quickly.. I'm a Swedish girl and I'm going to spend one month in Los Angeles to study English. My teacher told me that writing a journal could be an easy and good way to develop the language, so I thought why not and decided to to it here online. Here I'll write as often as possible about how the days have been and what I've learned/noticed. First, I'll write a short summary of the first week.

So when I arrived in LA it was Sunday and I just packed up my things, got used to the apartment and bought some food. I'm living in an apartment with three other girls. One from Italia, whom I share room with and the other two come from Switzerland. I live in Westwood, which is a pretty small but cute place. I like it because of its UCLA spirit. I could definitely think of living here if I would do an exchange year at UCLA. Maybe not in the area where I'm living right now, but the UCLA area near Beverly Hills, I really like. Maybe it's too expensive though.

Monday morning was the first day of school which I was very excited for. I got to do three different tests (grammar, speaking, hearing) and I actually got into the highest class (proficiency) which made me happy because then you know you have advanced skills in English. My teacher is really sweet and nice and we get to talk a lot (English) in class which is great, that' why I'm here, to get a good flow in my talking.

Tuesday, Thursday and Friday were quite the same,  in other words; school and then I was at the pool which is located next to my apartment which is really nice. But on Friday I was on a tour on Queen Mary ship with some people from my school. It was really good and interesting! Plus I have the best Activity Coordinator ever :) 

Saturday I went to a LA-tour and got to see Santa Monica, Venice Beach, Beverly Hills (or well, the sign) and Hollywood. I really loved Santa Monica so I'm definitely going back there one day this week.  Sunday I went shopping in Camarillo Premium Outlet, 6 hours shopping but it was not enough.. 

Well, that's for now because I have to do my home work. I'll write more tomorrow!
